In celebration of Pride Month, South Shore Academy were thrilled to participate in the Blackpool Wyre and Fylde Pride Festival. Students and staff walked the parade, and we were honoured to be asked to open the festival on the main stage. Students delivered an amazing speech about promoting equality and inclusivity in Blackpool. The Samba band played during the parade and the Performing Arts group were chosen to perform on the main stage. South Shore also held a Rainbow Day focussing on LGBTQ+ topics and role models, and organised assemblies with Blackpool Youth Pride to codesign activities.
