Barton Clough Primary School embarked on an exciting whole-school trip to Chester Zoo. This was made possible through the generous support of local companies including GP Bullhound, Sale Sharks, Murphy Group and Scott Parnell. Their contributions ensured that the trip was cost-free for all children. It turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far, so there was plenty of shade, water breaks and suncream all round!
The day was filled with wonder and excitement as children and staff explored the zoo’s exhibits: observing majestic elephants, learning about endangered species and exploring the dark bat-cave. The trip provided educational opportunities outside the classroom which Barton Clough children will remember forever. Students were particularly thrilled by the chance to see animals they had only read about in books.
The support from the local companies not only made this trip possible but also highlighted the importance of community collaboration in providing educational experiences. The trip to Chester Zoo was a resounding success, leaving everyone eager for the next one!
